Relativity (Mein Ende. Dein Anfang.)
Edin Hasanović was born in 1992, shortly after the start of the Balkan conflict in Bosnia-Herzegovina. His mother fled with him to Berlin, where he grew up. Edin appeared before the camera for the first time while he was still in school, in the youth series Schloss Einstein. He became known to a wider audience as Enes, a teenager who fled from Kosovo, in the television series KDD - Kriminaldauerdienst, in which he played for three seasons. Edin's real breakthrough came with the drama Schuld sind immer die Anderen (Shifting the Blame). His portrayal of a violent young criminal who realises that a female counsellor in his boot camp is one of his previous victims earned him a Best Actor nomination at the 2013 German Film Awards. Further accolades followed, including a Golden Camera in 2016 as Best Newcomer, the Best Actor award at the German TV crime drama festival and, in 2020, the prestigious Grimme Award for a leading role in the Netflix series Skylines, about a fictional Frankfurt record label and its connection to organised crime. Relegated at first to roles as a violent youthful offender, Edin Hasanović is now an established character actor in new German films. In 2018 and 2020, he received a special honour by serving as the youngest moderator of the German Film Awards to date.
